Carve your first turns of the season on Saturday
Alpe d'Huez's ski lifts whir into action next Saturday, December 1st 2018 kickstarting a season that we hope will be epic.
It's been snowing in Alpe d'Huez in the last few weeks, and only today a further 10cm fell down at resort level. The slopes boast some pretty decent depth with 60cm up at the Herpie, 40cm 2700m and around 20 to 25cm at 1800m.
The lift company has announced that several pistes and lifts will be open this weekend including the Signal lift with the Marcel's Farm beginner's area, DMC 1 with the Jeux piste, DMC 2 up to 2100m, Bd des Marmottes up to 2300m, Marmotte 1 with the Dahut piste, Marmotte 2 with the Lièvre Blanc piste, Marmotte 3 and Herpie with the Cristallière and Hermine pistes, the mythical Sarenne piste to the Alp’Auris chairlift, Rif Nel Express with the Clarine and Rif-Nel pistes, the Grenouilles magic carpet and the Rif Nel drag lift.
Alpe d'Huez are offering early season discounts on their ski passes from December 1st, with a one-day adult ski pass for only €37.50, €31 for a one-day children ski pass and €33.50 for a senior or student ski pass.
